SIFTING BEACH CLEANERS
Sifting beach cleaners purify the sand by using a cutting edge and beater bar to shovel the top later of sand onto a screen, which then vibrates. The sand falls through the vibrating screen, while the debris is carried up into a bucket.
Tractor-towed sifting beach cleaners are excellent at removing material from fine, dry sand and can be a viable cleaning option depending on the beach conditions. However, the speed of the tractor is limited, as sifting units need to lift the sand onto the belt and sift it through. This energy-intensive process takes more time than raking methods. Similarly, if the sand is wet or damp, it must travel at relatively low speeds to thoroughly clean without removing too much sand. That being said, they excel at removing light, tiny objects from the sand, like dried oil remnants, and are a powerful tool for such applications.
Walk-behind sand-sifting beach cleaners, like the SAND MAN, are an excellent solution for small beaches or private sandy areas. While not recommended for removing excessive seaweed, they excel at removing rocks, stones, twigs, and man-made debris from the sand. Additionally, various screen sizes allow for extremely fine material to be removed
